The Neighborhood LLC
The Neighborhood LLC is an event company a couple of friends started in Youngstown, Ohio, in 2017. We saw local talent growing in the valley but only a few opportunities to showcase them. Youngstown is a college town in the crosshairs of Pittsburgh and Cleveland, a great place for festivals. So we started throwing them.
Our 3rd annual Home for the Holidays is a formal black tie event we host in-between Christmas and New Year’s when people are likely to be home for the holidays. We’ve been told it’s multiple people’s friends reunion.
I have this old holiday postcard in my childhood home that is inspired by, I wanted to keep the colors more retro and sticking with our goofy illustration style as we have for all of our other events.

The Block Party
The Block Party is our main shindig. It’s our annual summer event we throw in Downtown Youngstown. We wanted this event to resemble a traditional block party; admission is always free. In addition, we aimed to get people together downtown to showcase local art, music, and food.
My job with The Neighborhood is event branding. I make posters, set designs, photo opts, videos, apparel designs, and stage signs while ensuring all those assets tell a cohesive story.
